Morning Teer common number for both morning rounds

The two sets on this page belong to the morning rounds of the Shillong session — the same two counts our home board publishes. We do not mix in figures from later sessions, because a digit that has been busy in the morning window tells you nothing about an afternoon count and mixing them only muddies the reading.

What a common number actually is

A common number is not an official figure and nobody announces it at the ground. It is a working guess that regular followers prepare by reading the last several days of results and noting which digits have been busy and which have gone quiet. On this page we publish that guess for both rounds in one place, so you do not have to keep your own notebook.

Because the real figure comes from counting arrows at a live session, no method can fix it in advance. Treat everything on this page as a reference for discussion, never as a confirmed outcome.

Direct, House and Ending — the three columns explained

Once you know this split, the box above becomes easy to read. Direct gives you the full number, while House and Ending are the two halves that people track separately across the week.

Term

Example with 39
Direct

39 itself
House

Ending
The last digit of the two-digit figure

How the number is prepared every morning

  • Read the last seven to ten days from the archive, round by round
  • Count how often each House digit has appeared in that stretch
  • Count how often each Ending digit has appeared, and note the missing ones
  • Check whether any pair has repeated across the First and Second Round
  • Keep the two rounds separate, because they behave differently
  • Publish before the session and never change the figure after the result is out

How to use this page sensibly

Open the archive alongside this page. A common number makes far more sense when you can see the record it came from. If a digit here also shows up two or three times in the last week, you will understand why it is listed.

Keep the timing in mind as well. The First Round list matters until about 10:30 AM and the Second Round list until about 11:30 AM. After that the actual figures take over, and this page is refreshed for the next day.
